The foundations of the GHS Group of Companies were laid in London in 1984 with the Oz Textile Limited company.
The founders of the company, Hakan and Haluk Özkarakaşlı, worked on the textile market in London for the first years, then returned to Turkey in 1995, established a facility in Bursa and increased their production capacity, taking the first step towards the goal of “contributing to their country".
The Design House company was established in London in 1999 and the partners, who opened up to new markets, also established the Nara company in Turkey and started to produce fabrics in addition to apparel in 2004.
These companies, which progressed confidently and strongly, were gathered under the name of the GHS Group of Companies in 2005.
Öz Tekstil continued to establish production facilities in 3 more countries in the following period.
The group entered retailing with the NaraMaxx brand in 2010 in order to provide services not only abroad but also in Türkiye.
One of the company's main goals is to provide employment for Turkey's working women, and according to the company's 2019 data, 77% of the workforce consists of women. Today, with its 45 years of experience and 4 companies, the GHS group of companies employs 495 employees in 16 countries with 7 production facilities and 21 stores, and continues its services without slowing down.
